Become a Justice Advocate

Champion the cause of victims of everyday violence.

Justice Advocates are leaders. We represent the work of IJM in our community – in our neighbourhoods, our friendship circles, our workplaces, our schools and universities, our churches, our clubs.

We are committed to spiritual formation and prayerfully seeking justice.

We play a strategic role in broadening and deepening IJM’s presence and impact in Australia. We use our skills and gifts to lead others in the work of justice, raising awareness and funds to fuel the mission to end slavery and injustice.

The next round of Justice Advocate training will begin in early 2019.

Our specially designed JA training involves five modules run online over ten weeks:

Module 1: The problem of violence
Module 2: Justice in the Bible
Module 3: How IJM works
Module 4: Developing your public narrative
Module 5: Your personal action plan

Each fortnight, participants complete the material in their own time and share learnings and reflections in an online forum. The content will equip you to represent IJM, speak out against slavery, and fundraise within your networks. Click the button below to make sure you receive an invite when registrations open.

Seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
