Freedom is on the move June 30 1 150x

One small step. Two brave girls. A journey to freedom.

Vijayalakshmi and Nandini were just nine and seven years old when they were trapped in slavery—exploited, physically abused, cut off from their family and all on their own. One day, hearts pounding, they ran.

What can you do?

It starts with a step. Right now, yours goes twice as far.

Freedom is on the move. With every step you take, another is matched, moving freedom forward faster than ever.

A generous IJM supporter has committed the largest match fund IJM Australia has ever received! This means that every gift made before 30 June will be matched, dollar for dollar.

A single step can change the world. And change is happening.

Once, slavery was ignored and criminals did not face consequences. Now, officials are taking bold steps — leading rescues, filing charges, and restoring hope. IJM is partnering with local authorities: training teams, strengthening justice systems, and helping freedom move forward.

With your support, IJM has made significant progress in combating slavery in India since 2000.
