After surviving a brutal attempt on her life by her supposed love, Camila spent weeks in a coma with grave injuries. Today, Camila has healed, finding safety and support through therapy. IJM has provided legal assistance in her case and she is pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer.

Angela thought she was about to start an exciting life in London, but it was a trap. Angela was trafficked for sex by her “partner”. Angela was able to escape and the perpetrator was arrested by the police shortly after. With practical and psychological support from IJM, she is rebuilding her life in Romania.

When Helsa found out her nine-year old daughter Peace was abused, she was heartbroken. Despite attempts of the well-connected perpetrator to stop her, she went to the police and fought for her daughter. With IJM’s support, the perpetrator was sentenced, and today Helsa is speaking up for women’s rights in her community.
