Terms & Conditions

Automatic Contribution Agreement

Making financial contributions by credit card or direct debit is a safe, easy, and convenient way of supporting the work of International Justice Mission (IJM) Australia.

Automatic contributions are preferred as it saves IJM Australia in administration costs involved in handling, printing, and postage. This means we can send more money to the field to rescue victims, restore survivors, retrain criminals, and repair justice systems.

You can arrange for us to direct debit your bank account or credit/debit card monthly. If you prefer to make your contributions by cheque or direct deposit, consider making contributions six or twelve months at a time to reduce administration costs.

If you have further questions after reading our Terms and Conditions, please contact giving@IJM.org.au

On this page it will outline our commitment to you, your rights, and responsibilities as a financial supporter of IJM Australia, and where you can go in the case you require assistance.

Our Commitments

In reference to the automatic and regular financial contribution arrangement made between IJM Australia and agreed to by you, we will debit your nominated bank account or credit/debit card for the agreed amount for your support of IJM Australia.

Payment Processing

Your donation will be processed by Stripe or EziDebit, that are online payment processing systems (PCI compliant) that will transact funds to IJM Australia. These payment merchants will collect and process your personal information, including your name, email address, and credit or debit card information. Stripe and EziDebit charge IJM Australia a fee for their services.

The drawing for credit/debit card contributions will occur on your payment day, which is the day of your first contribution, each month. If any drawing is due on a non-business day, it will be debited on the next business day. All transactions will be reflected in AUD.

If you wish to discuss any changes to these terms, please contact us directly by calling 1300 045 669 or email giving@IJM.org.au

Changes to the Terms

If you would like to make changes to these Terms, please contact us at least five business days prior to the next payment date. These changes may include stopping an individual payment, pausing the automatic contribution, changing payment details, or cancelling the automatic contribution.

Tax Deductible Donations

All donations over $2 are tax deductable in Australia. If your donation is tax deductible, please consult your tax advisor for information about claiming a tax deduction. You are responsible for keeping accurate records of your donation.

Donors providing single gifts receive a receipt for each donation and regular gifts receive an annual tax receipt, unless otherwise requested. IJM Australia accepts anonymous donations but is unable to issue a tax-deductible receipt to the donor in such circumstances.

Enquiries

Please direct all enquiries about your automatic contribution to IJM Australia, rather than your financial institution. Please contact us directly by calling 1300 045 669 or email giving@IJM.org.au.

Disputes & Complaints

If you believe that a debit has been processed incorrectly, please contact us by calling 1300 045 669 or email giving@IJM.org.au.

We will issue refunds in certain circumstances, such as if the donation was made in error or the donation was not used for the intended purpose. To request a refund, please contact us using the contact information provided.

Your Commitments

It is your responsibility to provide us with accurate payment information and ensure that there are sufficient funds in your nominated account.

If a contribution is declined due to insufficient funds, we will contact you for permission to re-process this. If we are unable to get in contact you, the payment will continue the following month.

We reserve the right to cancel your automatic contribution if three or more direct debits are unpaid. We will contact you to arrange a different payment method.
