Follow these steps to start fundraising

Step 1: Develop your fundraising idea
Choose your skill and your occasion: dedicate your birthday, run a race or organise a special event. Check out our fundraising overview for important information on how to get started.
See our guidelines
Step 2: Create your fundraising page
Raise funds as an individual or rally your friends and fundraise as a group. Your personal fundraising page will track your fundraising goal and contribute to IJM Australia's fundraising tally. Our preferred platform is Grassrootz (and it does help with admin if we have everybody on the same platform).

Step 3: Share your event
Once your fundraiser kicks off, it’s time to spread the word. Invite your friends, family, co-workers and fellow students to contribute! Tag us on social media (@ijmaus) and share your photos with us.

Top Fundraising Tips
1: Share Your Heart!
Tell people why you joined the fight to end slavery. Consider having face-to-face conversations.
2. Know Your Stuff.
Tell your donors why their money is needed and show them what is possible because of their generosity.
3. Inspire Others.
Make the first donation to your page. It shows others your commitment!
4: Send Reminders.
Don’t be afraid to repeat your ask. Many times people just need a reminder.
